No visa. Thirty days. Here is exactly how.

Hainan admits passport holders from 85+ countries visa-free for 30 days, and medical treatment is an approved purpose — written into the policy. The United States is on the list, despite not holding visa-free access to the rest of mainland China.

From North America there is no direct flight — connect through Hong Kong (the cleanest hub). A Hong Kong connection does not count as entering mainland China, so your visa-free entry to Hainan stays valid. We meet every guest at arrivals.

THE RULES, STATED PLAINLY

01 · Arrive from outside the mainland. Fly into Haikou, Sanya or Boao directly from abroad — Hong Kong connections qualify. Entering another mainland city first voids the visa-free route.

02 · Stay within Hainan. The 30 visa-free days apply to the island only — which is where everything in your course happens anyway.

03 · Thirty days, counted from the day after entry. The Long Course (21–28 days) fits inside the window with margin; we plan your dates so it always does.
